All these products will offer major new features, performance upgrades and support for other systems and will ship from September 19th 2005.

monet is a unique tracking and compositing toolset for commercial, film and corporate video post production work such as virtual product placement and label replacement and has been purchased by companies world-wide since its launch in September 2004. Version 2 will include new features such as:

  • A new Stabilize module to allow accurate stabilisation of elements
  • A new Warper tool for more flexible warping elements
  • Support for exporting a project to Shake, using mofex plug-ins

The latest version of mokey will include new features such as:

  • A new AdjustTrack module to allow accurate adjustment of tracking data
  • A new Patch module to track patches/cleanplates into shots
  • A new Conceal module to conceal faces, undesired branding etc. in TV programming

Both monet v2 and mokey v4 include the following new features:

  • Significantly enhanced performance when working with 2K/4K Cineon and DPX files
  • A render-to-disk option to force the application to immediately render the output to disk in a user specifiable file format / location
  • Support for DVS Centaurus video i/o card (broadcast monitor output only)
  • Support for Wiretap, enabling the application to read/write from/to the Discreet Stone

Having been previewed at NAB, mofex, a unique set of plug-ins for Apple's Shake compositing software for manipulating elements being composited, will be shown in its release format for the first time at IBC. mofex for example supports calculation and application of shadows and highlights, tracking marker filters and more. mofex plug-ins also enable monet projects to be imported correctly into Shake whilst maintaining the ability to change settings.

Allan Jaenicke, Managing Director of Imagineer Systems comments on the new releases: "Using customer feedback and internal development we have added a number of new features to both monet and mokey that will increase performance, stability and compatibility with both Shake and Discreet users. These improvements will benefit the workflows of post-production houses in commercials, broadcast and film and also the end user in terms of creativity and cost."
